My holidays are not going well, should I divorce?
Although the holidays are a great time for some people, unfortunately there are others where the holidays are full of stress and disappointment. If you fall into this latter category, there are things that you should think about. One, why am I feeling the way I am feeling? Is this something I can change or does it require my spouse as well? Will my spouse help me? Although we are divorce attorneys, we will NEVER pressure you into filing for divorce. If you are not happy in your current situation, divorce may be a good option however. In California, there are four parameters to a divorce: division of assets, child custody (legal and physical), child support, and spousal support. There are two types of divorce: uncontested or contested. Uncontested means that you are in agreement to the four terms mentioned above, and contested means that you are fighting over one or more of the four parameters.
We strive to help minimize the costs of divorce by incorporating strategies that favor negotiation rather than intimidation. Although divorce can be stressful, if you approach it in the right fashion it can be resolved quickly and efficiently.
